My experience as a commercial photographer was put to use for an important event in culinary history this week. I photographed a very special afternoon tea, in fact the world’s most expensive afternoon tea at Cliveden House. A dear friend, head Chef Carlos Martinez was there to present the masterpiece. Despite running two restaurants, including the very popular Waldos famous for its exquisite modern french cuisine, Carlos finds the time to create these opulent dining experiences and pose for photos. It’ s been a busy couple of months since the launch of the studio, so time to catch up on some much needed blogging. Wed Asian 2011 was my first all Asian Wedding Fair. The smell of delicious food and carnival atmosphere provided by the dancers and musicians was divine. Met some lovely people this weekend. Some beautiful brides and some truly talented suppliers who I hope to work with in the future. Asian wedding photography is such a specialist profession and I hope this weekend I managed to showcase my talents. I worked along side Riffat and Rosamary who provided wedding hair, makeup and mehndi and hopefully together we can give all our brides their dream wedding package.

Beautiful Baby Eva. What joy to photograph a baby who is so full of smiles and giggles. All babies have a way of making you smile with their natural curiosity and adoring innocence. Little baby Eva was a natural on the day of her shoot. Mum and Dad kept her laughing throughout with various animal impressions and funny faces, the things we do for a smile. Lol.  When the time came for Eva’s nap Chris started swinging her in the carrier (between his legs) a technique that has always been a success, but today just sent her into fits of giggles. This was a photo shoot that Mum, Dad and Eva will look back on for years to come, with fond memories of this playful little darling.

One Life Studio opened its doors last weekend with an influx of excited customers old and new. Thank you to everyone who attended the launch party and thank you also to the Reading chronicle for the wonderful article. The interest was immediate and I have already taken several bookings leading up to the grand opening for baby and family photo shoots and wedding photography. Dancing her way to the top Helen was a great model to work with. Working as a professional dancer meant she really knew how to move her body. I like it when a model knows how to take direction and needs little encouragement in the way of posing. She listened and knew exactly what I were aiming for, allowing each shot to flow seamlessly to the next. Riffat was brought on board again to perform magic with makeup and yet again she gave me nothing less then perfection. We make a great team. We had a great time as you can probably see from the photos…and what a day, beautiful weather for a sexy summer shoot.

After adopting our beautiful dog we were yet to experience a true doggy trip. We packed our bags for a short trip to the welsh country side. As you can see our beloved hound had a great time. So great in fact that’s he slept for 3 days after we got home. I though he was ill, but turns out he simply over did it racing up and down hills and mountains for 3 days. Looking forward to our next trip with him.
