Wedding Photographer Henley

Emily and Marcus’ Wedding at Henley Business School, St Mary’s Church Henley on Thames and Stonor Park

I was so pleased to be able to photograph Emily and Marcus’ wedding and after a very….VERY wet pre-wedding meeting at Stonor just days before the wedding, I was keeping everything crossed for good weather on their wedding day. You know what they say bad rehearsal good performance.

Well someone was looking down on this beautiful couple thinking they need beautiful weather because it was perfect for their wedding photography.

I arrived at Henley Business School to find a welcoming family, glorious sunshine and men in uniform. What more could a girl want….oooh lunch, that was supplied too (I really am in good company)

After some laughter and friendly banter with the boys I made my way over to Emily’s parents house to take some preparation photo’s of the bride and family. There was stillness and calm throughout the house. The family (and wedding videographers) were gathered around the kitchen table tucking into a wonderful lunch of freshly prepared goodies. They all squeezed over to make room for me and I attempted to finish the plate of delicious quiche and salad presented to me (two lunches….I’ll definitely have the energy for some fantastic photos after this).

After some elegant informal pre-wedding photographs of Emily and her family I headed over to the church, welcomed by yes…more men in uniform 🙂 and some familiar faces from other Henley weddings I have been lucky enough to photograph. It was so lovely to see them again!

The ceremony was a beautiful heartfelt sentiment and a grand exit onto the Henley high street where they were greeted by the guard of honour, which made for some beautiful and unique photographs for me and for the many local residents who had come to catch a glimpse of the bride before Marcus and Emily whizzed off in their Porsche for the reception at Stonor Park.

The grounds and Stonor House are simply breathtaking. They make for the perfect wedding venue, the perfect location and this makes my job easier to get the perfect wedding photographs. The weather continued to bless us with glorious sunshine which made for such a beautiful wedding for a caring and loving couple and it was an absolute pleasure to be chosen as their wedding photographer. I hope to always stay in touch with them and with little baby on the way I can’t wait to meet their little addition to the family and maybe take some baby photographs for them at my Caversham photography studio.
